EK Predator 280 + EK QDC

This review of the predator 280 it seems to have similar performance to the H100i, with the main advantage being that it runs quieter. The parts are also user replaceable and expandable if you wish, something which is not possible with the H100i

I kinda want something better than what i have atm so i can have some more OC room, not much point in an EK combo if i will have the same temps as now.

Why not go custom loop? It's not fun, adaptable, you can choose the parts, you can put it almost anywhere in your system and it only usually needs a couple of holes drilling in the chassis with a hand drill and has fittings, the pump res combo even comes with a sticker template for exactly where to drill the holes :D

Not really got the money or time to be getting in to a full custom loop, i probably will in the future but for now while i am looking for a new AIO thought the ek combos might be worth a look.

Apparently the 240 has better cooling performance than the 280 (guru3d review), guess ill give that a whirl with a GPU block.

Why not just save up for custom? Unless it's not your thing of course, but if you want something that really stands out, it's the way to go. Predators are good and all, but they aren't exactly the most attractive of things with that black tubing. That said, I've seen people mod them with clear and hard tubing.

The predator series are very good and work extremely well. I run a 360 for CPU and a 280 for GPU with the CPU block removed on the 280 just GPU block. 2 independent loops.

The black hose might not appeal to all, but I like it because it has a nice thick wall and will not kink. I can see the clear with nice straight lines and neat 90 elbows looks good, but to many tight bends does not help flow, a gentle curve is always better. also I guess you can have coloured coolant to suit your colour scheme, but again its not something I would be bothered about.

The predator series comes as a complete package and with good fans for cooling which offer high pressure and low noise. very pleased with mine and cool very well.

so enjoy your 240 you will be pleased with it.

How on earth can a smaller rad version cool better ?

Was to do with the fan density in the radiators, apparently the overall unit has some different parts pump etc.

I also kind of like the black tubing as my build is black/red, of course i would have got a larger radiator but my case does not permit it and the reviews of the 240 i have seen were very surprising.
