Apologies in advance if this ends up being something stupid that I have just overlooked. It is my first time delving into a form of watercooling on my main system and I'm having some teething issues.

First off, the AIO is cooling an i7 5930K, currently running at stock while I sort this issue out. The fans are in their default pull positions, nothing has been changed from opening the box. I have the radiator set up in the top of my case and the connectors included are connected to the CPU_Fan header on my Asus X99 Deluxe motherboard and the other directly into a PSU SATA cable. The red light on the predator is also on.

The issue I am having is that at idle my temps can vary between as low as 28c to as high as 50c, with 100% loads temps anywhere between 55c and 85c.

The consistent thing about this is that the motherboard and programs like speedfan and reporting that the CPU fan is running at only 390-410RPM regarding of the load or temperature and I can confirm this visually by seeing how slow the fans are turning.

I am currently running a prime95 stress test as I write this and my temps are between 79c and 84c and the CPU Fan (Reading from Speedfan) is still only showing 416RPM.

Having turned off all case fans and GPU fans to make it as silent as I can, I can very faintly hear water moving in the pump, but I'm not too sure if I can hear the pump itself really working properly.

Apologies for the wall of text! Any suggestions here before I even consider RMA'ing it?

EDIT - Having ran the prime95 test for only 10 or so minutes, my CPU temps were actually hitting as high as 92c on some cores which is worrying.

Hi all, thanks for the comments.

@Rustyone - In the BIOS, I have tried setting it to 100% and also have tried moving the case/cooler to try and get it rolling. Neither seem to have had an effect.

@Panos - In regards to the fan speed in windows, I have also tried this and it doesn't seem to be affecting it at all.

@Drex - I have tried changing the sata connection, even to one where nothing is plugged into it and is only plugged into the PSU and the predator. I have also tried different fan headers to no affect, even tried plugging it into one of the exhaust fan headers in my case to then try and manually control through the case (EVGA DG-87).

I can't really see anything in the bios myself that could be doing this.

@Panos - Yes, 100%, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I am using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, was evenly applied and I certainly have never had issues applying paste in the past.

When I start my PC, as I have done this morning, my temps are as low as 27c, but after 30 minutes or so of, well not much at all, it rises to around 45c, but any activity on any of the cores bumps the temps up quickly.

@reef - AFAIK, it should be on perfectly fine, but I will give that a go this afternoon to see if anything is wrong.

Thanks again folks!

@Panos & Rustyone - It is in the default pull configuration at the moment. I cannot see/hear the fans running at 100% at all, it definitely looks like it is going at the slow 400 odd rpm that is being reported.

Not used HW Monitor before, but I believe this is the correct results?

Yes, changed the Sata cable, no effect.
