EK PSC Comp fittings

just a small heads up to anything thinking about buying these

i've just taken delivery of mine from ocuk, they fit alright enough, but they wouldn't fit on my EK 5850 waterblock, where the knurled edge is on the main barb part, it's too wide and overlaps the graphics card

seems a bit trivial for this to have happened, surely EK would have done their homework and made sure things fit together properly.

Not sure if this problem would apply to the new range of blocks and graphics cards but maybe Rjkoneill could do some tests or something? the webpage both here and on EK say nothing about the fitting not fitting correctly

if anyone else has a set of these in their system, could you too leave some comments? problems?

Are you sure? They're a standard 1/4 fittings. It's pretty difficult with EK blocks and can require a lot of patience to get the fittings into the threaded hole.

Have you tried another G1/4 fitting to make sure your fittings are dodgy?

Yes, very sure, my old 1/4 barbs screwed all the way in just fine, and the comps fit fine in my res, rad and cpu block perfectly fine

you may need to raise them up some to clear the GPU board or use them both on the bottom of the card and they will fit, it's not exactly a problem with products, just forward planning on your part really, you can find spacers to clear blocks, not sure if OcUK stock them though
