I decided to move away from the Drive bay reservoirs so I went for one of the EK multioption tubes, the 150 X2 Advanced to be precise!

It was all going to plan until I started to fit the top fittings, what the hell did they do here?

On the other side the thread is about twice as long due to there being an inside tube fitting, so I can only assume the person/machine that drilled it actually drilled both sides, FROM both sides, therefore making the port on the left absolutely useless!

Disappointed.

I know it's to screw in the tube, but there's no thread on the outside bit (if you look closely) to screw in a stopper/fitting!

Look at the top left one, there's no thread on the outside bit, only on the inside which isn't enough to screw a stopper or any of my compression fittings in!

also looks fine to me

have you... i dunno, tried to screw something in there?

Of course, i can literally sit it in flush as if it was screwed in, because there's literally no thread!
It's that wide the fittings just sit in it

There isn't a thread on the outside of the left port in the top photo.

Finally someone noticed it!

Here's an image of what it should be like:

As you can see I'm missing the outside thread, pretty much rendering it unseal-able!

Yea the one thats highest up in both pictures! (and more to the left)

It seems as if they have threaded it twice, i can literally fit the fittings in and they go right up to the rubber, i can't actually screw anything in! :(

will be, not been a good day today!

also had an Aquacool T-fitting arrive damaged, and all the work i did at work today rendered useless due to a bug I can't fix, not going well!! grr

The hole hasen't been fully tapped out, manufacturing error.

Two options IMO, RMA or finish the thread...

The hole HAS been fully tapped out, the fitting fits in all the way without really touching the sides, otherwise i would taper it myself!

ahh, get an RMA sorted then :)

Out of interest what thread type do most WC fittings use? I work with allot of Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems, just my technical side getting curious :D

Would have thought most would be Jic or even BSPP?
