Hey all

Half way through my watercooling build and have fitted the EK TIM Indigo Extreme onto the cpu you and then fitted the cpu water block but where the TIM is not a complete flat surfaced the cpu block sits slighlty uneven aka raised to one side where the TIM sits is that normal and ok?

Did you follow the Indigo Xtreme application instructions? I'm pretty sure it needs some kind of reflow procedure to be applied properly.

yup it melts into place and sets. I have always preferred CLU over it for this reason. I just don't like the idea of hitting 90 degrees to set it in :(

Also it looks like an even BIGGER pain to clean than CLU.

GL with it though, i have always been impressed with the results people get from it.

Thanks Avenged, Just having a bit of a wonder about it all, I looked at the guide and they even put a video guide online which I can follow easily enough but EKWB state that I need to put that case on its side so that the CPU and motherboard are horizontal which I was worried about due to the pump but was told I can just unscrew that from the bays and keep it in the correct orientation which is fine but the instructions state that I need to have the pump turned off during this reflow stage which is a problem as the CPU get so hot so quick as its drawing 219Watts its just about lasts 10 seconds before my system automatically shuts down due to overheating, let alone enough time for me to bootup and run the programs stated in the guide and I am guessing my CPU would not reach 90c with the pump on so I am sort of stuck at the moment :|

After a couple of days l always tighten the screws up a touch more as the TIM has had time to settle down.

If you can use a small 6" ruler to get the screws as even as possible.
