Hi all,

I have an Ek Supremacy cpu block sitting on a dellided 4770k with a Supremacy naked ivy mount.

Ive been out the game for a while and given the original supremacy no longer exists, wondered whether the Supremacy Evo accessories specifically the bottom plate would be a direct replacement..or would the mounting holes/jet plates/inserts be different?

if it is different, I was looking at a suitable replacement such as the Velocity, but also wondered whether EK have a naked ivy mount for this waterblock too... as it seems the supremacy naked ivy only supports supremacy series waterblocks.

note: naked ivy mount is necessary as I seem to have lost the ihs and original motherboard back plate when I moved house.

Any help much appreciated.

What are you trying to achieve exactly; do you want a better waterblock for your existing CPU or are you looking to upgrade your hardware and want to reuse your waterblock? Either are possible.

EK are very responsive normally at their customer service.

sorry should have closed this thread.. i messaged EK direct and the Evo are a direct replacement for the original supremacy block. I just want to change my full copper plate to a nickel plate... but given the orignal supremacy csq is EOL, wasn't sure what parts were compatible rather than dishing out an extra £60 for a new block.

Ah I see - and are the EVO nickel plates compatible with the supremacy block? The suspense is killing me!

As an aside second-hand watercooling parts are often incredible value, so if you want something that is EOL it's worth a quick search on the members market and at your local electronic bay.

Ha. EK says the copper plate is a direct replacement which is a good thing. After a bit of research, i did see a Supremacy Evo Upgrade kit but that too is EOL... as i was also planning on replacing my acetal top to a plexi one. Will have to wait to dismantle my current block to see if that too is a direct replacement, because as far as i can tell, the Evo comes with an both an insert and inset pin, something the original supremacy does not have. Either way, have ordered those pins (tough to find) just in case they are needed. You might think, may as well have gotten a new block.. but after sourcing the parts, i'm still sub £30 off, and given it's to cool a 4770K, i can't justify spending more on it.

I'm interested to see whats out there in the market at the moment but don't have enough posts yet.. and have been inactive for a long time so expected. Not much of interest on fleabay... and other well known forums i use (not sure if i can mention especially when they don't have a shop), not much ativity going on in general.

Members marketplace is pretty awesome. Found this after searching for ~20 seconds:

"EK Supremacy Evo 37inc 35inc £32 £30 inc £28inc 26 23 20inc£.
(the older classic model) Nickel Acetal with both AM4/Intel mountings (can't remember what socket mounts) Waterblock -
no issues with block just decided to go for one with RGB for new case/build."

Never mind - next time it might be an option.

Who knows? If we keep this conversation going for long enough you might hit the post-count requirement!

Eugh may need to figure a way of buying that block in the market place. Took apart my rig, only to find out the jet plates are different between the supremacy and evo.
The evo has a notch on either end of the jet plate white fits into the insert, where the old doesn’t sigh.

so my option is to buy a new block or a second hand block as I don’t think ek have any jet plates available. Time to email and check
