I'm slightly confused about EK waterblocks.

Why does the Acetal block cover much more the of card than the Plexi block?

EK's aesthetics choice. Performance is identical.

Yeah, people will pay more for it to look better. They'll both function exactly the same.

Well yeah, one covers the full PCB and the other doesn't. Although its not much less than full coverage, the difference is noticeable.

If you look at the cooling surface area on the acetal block, you will see that it's the exact same surface as the plexi block. So no performances difference here.

I guess if the whole block was plexi then you would see the board through the plexi anyway?

I personally always think the full cover blocks look better, especially with a back plate too. I know cooling is actually the same, but part of why we do this is looks

They only do the cloudy version. Search for CSQ block.
