Recently built my first custom loop. Its all great apart from pump is just sitting at 4500rpm +-100. I have a MSI Z107A X Power Titanium MB and have the pump pwm plugged into system 3 fan socket. I can see it in bios and it tells me pump rpm but no matter how I try I can't get it to slow down. I've set it to run at 30% at idle temps and them progressively speed up to 100% at 70c, no change. I've tried in system fan socket as well but same result. Any ideas?

Perhaps the case fan header was set to DC voltage control. Does the pump have a separate power lead direct to the PSU?

Pumps draw a lot of current, I wouldn't run one direct off a motherboard header unless it was rated for 2A or more really.

Yeah pump has a separate power supply lead. Its being good as gold now on the cpu fan header. Loving the EKWB kit.
