Elden Ring Nightreign

They are considering an extra session to make up for this morning. I'll try tomorrow night for an hour and see if they have fixed anything.

There are reports of Bandai Namco sending xbox codes to ps5 users and vice versa. Try contacting them and they may be able to provide an updated code for the correct region and system.

After 48hrs my email to Bandai bounced back saying it was rejected by their mail server being overloaded

So I made a support ticket on the Bandai website and they've now sent me a replacement code which is working, so I'll try to play when the servers go online again in two hours

Got in and matchmaking is working fine but yeah it's crap playing with randoms

The game is very frantic compared to normal Elden ring, there is such a lot going on, and no time to catch a breath it's like the call of duty version of Elden ring

I've died a couple times now on the first boss

Not sure if I like this game or not, it doesn't feel like a souls game should. Performance is pretty rough, even in performance mode on the ps5 it feels like framerate is sitting at 20fps

My dog woke me up at just after 5am so jumped on the game. Doesnt look like I can join games easily, sat for 25 mins waiting for a game, but did eventually get one.

It was fun whilst it lasted, defeated a dragon, a golem and the party died to demi-human duo boss. It was chaotic and agree there's no time to relax at all with the night closing in, which actually I dont like, its way too quick, like it was a constant threat. Once it's on you there's little chance of escaping. Performance felt ok.

After 1 game I'm not convinced I'll buy it yet, I'm not a massive fan of multiplayer only games these days, mainly due to time, back in the day I was hooked on Destiny 1, but even that had a decent single player element. If this could be played with bots I might be more enthusiastic.

Weird, I did 4 sessions in the 3 hours on PS5 and each time it took me less than 10 seconds to matchmake

Furthest I got to was the half way through day 2 before the servers went down.

Its just non stop go go go the whole way and that I don't like, the game forces you to run frantically and kill things as fast as possible and if you don't then you wont be at a high enough level to kill the bosses by nightfall

I think it's my NAT settings which I can't change as I'm on mobile Internet at the moment.

Oh and there is no voice chat, get paired with randoms who all run around doing their own thing and no voice chat to co ordinate

I watched a great run earlier - Peeve (youtube) managed to get Rivers of Blood and Meteoric Blade for double Uchi fun. His team absolutely destroyed the final boss.

Where does Rivers drop from, or is it random?

On my run where we killed the final boss of the network test, I had a bleed whip drop and it did hit quite hard and was easy to trigger blood loss on the bosses

It was just a random drop

Ok thanks

I haven't done too much research into what from has said about the game before; does anyone know if they've mentioned more maps? It feels like an ok size for now, but I can already see that after 20 hours of playing the map from the network test its going to get boring, I hope the game has more than one map.

I do think more characters is kind of confirmed; I did read that at launch there will be 8 to choose from instead of 4, but also there was a leak of more characters coming in future DLC

I hope so and I’m pretty confident that there will be a lot more to the full game.

It did start to get a bit repetitive on the tests. On some games I was struggling to keep up with some players so was under levelled and didn’t have much good gear.

No problems matchmaking at all.

The problem I have now is that due to my internet issues I've missed a chance to really know if I'll like the game. It will be April when I have a proper internet connection again, possibly even early May, stupid new house nonsense.

Hopefully there will be an open beta/network test closer to launch.

So I played it once and I don't think I'm going to buy it.
I love all Soulsborne games (platinumed all apart from Sekiro) but this doesn't appeal to me.

It's definitely fun but I don't enjoy roguelikes so I can't see enjoying this too much.
