Bethesda Software tonight announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at the Spike Video Game Awards show.

Bethesda designer Todd Howard took the stage to announce the long-awaited title. Elder Scrolls V will be released on Nov. 11, 2011. Platforms were not announced.

The teaser trailer shown referenced the ending to the fourth installment, Oblivion, likely confirming the rumors that surfaced last month.

So an 11.11.11 release for the direct sequel to Oblivion, can't be anything but happy with that one....plus DRAGONS
