Hi
I'd like to buy an electric bike and have about £1,000 to spend - maybe a bit more. Ideally, I'd like a twist and go before the new law comes in in 2016 making them illegal.

Any owners out there they can recommend a good make/model.
Cheers

All you need is a high torque motor, car battery some wire switch and relay... Lol

You need very good balance however.

Hi,
Thanks for that. It's a really good build and a nice looking bike too but I want to stay to the 25kph limit and just want to buy and go. I've been looking at the Woosh Kriega and the shop is in Southend which I can drive to.

Cheers

Buy a good base bike - i.e. a bike that's good without a motor and add a kit yourself.

Don't do what Cat J suggests and use lead acid batteries!

What you on about, there nothing wrong with that. This is the countryside boyo.

You won't go wrong with a Woosh.

Check out http://www.kudoscycles.com/ as well, they are in your neck of the woods.

That rack mounted battery one seems completely retarded! Putting a lot of torque through a pannier designed for relatively light weight seems daft.

Also how do you get the wheel off when you get a puncture with that setup?
