Not sure where to put this so it's gone in GH. :D

I'm after a 4 or 6 way plug adapater that has a very narrow/flat cable if such a thing exists. I can see it being expensive, but just can't find one. Anyone know of somewhere?

Cheers

When you mean flat cable is that so it can go under carpet - if so then id take the ext lead apart and change the cable to some aftermarket flat cable from a local highstreet electronic store

You've got the idea, but it's not going under carpet. It's for running round the bottom of skirting board. It's only a short distance really, so not worth ripping up carpet, but the noral thick white cable looks a bit rubbish.

What i use to do with mine is pull edge of carpet up and lay betwen skirting and the carpet pins and then push carpet down around the edge of the wire. To be honest i would have thought flat cable would look worse than normal cable as it wouldnt be able to be pinned into the wall tightly

Ol!ver,

go with what ted says. Its what i do with mione and there should be a large enough gap under the skirting board so as to be able to push the flex under.

Just dont do as i did when i first moved in with my now wife. Had a small (less than 18 inches)run of speaker wire to put down to run to the sub in my sound system. Had a big attack of the CBA's and thought 'I'll just run it across the floor and staple it to the carpet so as no one falls over'. Not one of my better moves that, but have learnt my lesson and all cable now ge either under the skirting edge, under the carpet or under the floor where possible.

If you are lucky enough, you may be able to push the cable under the skirting without having to lift the carpet edge. I find that a spoon helps to push it in. Not very technical i know, but 'right tool for the right job' and all that
