Electric Fireplace Flame Affect Buzzing Noise

Hi folks

Just bought a Fireplace suite with one of those electric fireplaces that has a light up stone/flame effect thing going on.

However i have noticed it makes quite a noticeable electrical humming/buzzing noise when operating (not with the heater on, just the flame effect. Is this normal for these things? If it is i'm not sure i can stand to have that on when i'm watching TV.

if anyone has got one and could give it a listen to i would be grateful as im not sure whether to send it back or not.

If you are not happy with it and you are able to return it then return it.

I'm just interested to know whether this is normal for these things or not. Then i can make a decision on whether i want to return it or not.

It might be that it is just faulty and needs replacing, hence the thread

It is silent.
