I have a secondary PC that I use connected to the TV in the front room. Yesterday I unplugged the PC as I wanted to use it to test a spare graphics card I had.
Afterwards I put everything back together and took the PC back downstairs.
When I plugged the kettle lead into the PSU there was an electrical 'cackling' noise (I had already connected it to the power - with hindsight probably not the best plan). This stopped when I let go of the cable.
The PC seems fine, and it's a new Corsair PSU. Was the sound simply because I had plugged in the cable to the power first or is there likely to be some sort of short somewhere? Also is my house about to burn down?
