Hi,
Rover 416 with its new headgasket, waterpump and belts is up with yet another problem... slightly less worrying than when the HG went but here non theless.
Basically when i first turn the ignition the car is fine, but after driving a few miles it starts to feel 'stuttery / juddery' at lowish RPM. Also to go with this the headlights, interior lights, CD player (volume and lights) etc.. 'pulsate' in time with the judder. The battery icon is also fading on/off in time with all this.
First thing i thought was battery or alternator but both are fine according to my mates meter and i did also get TMC to pop their battery tester on and it was fine... needle in the green zone constantly.
I was thinking maybe an earthing problem ? the main one off the battery seems ok though.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
