I have a set of Logitech Z-5500's which always give slight pops or hisses when other electrical activity goes on in my house, e.g. people switching on lights. Yesterday my brother was plugging speaker jacks into the back of his PC in the other room and I was getting all the crackling of it through my speakers.
Also, if my speakers are on, and I switch them off at the wall, the subwoofer lets off quite a loud thump. If the speakers are only on standby the problem never occurs.
Also, I have a set of 3 halogen lights at my desk, one which is only about 1.5ft above the sub. When I switch them on and they flicker, interference is heard through the speakers as well.
To end with, I have two sockets in my room - one powers all the lights built around my desk, the other has at least 17 or 18 devices running off it, going from plug - Belkin 6-way surge protector which feeds plugs + two 4-gang extension leads + a OneClick 6-way device too.
Is there a problem with my speakers or my power devices?
