Electrician apprenticeships where?

Hi,

Ive been to my local connexions office and found me one but is there anywhere else I could go? I've looked at some online jobs sites but I haven't found any.

any ideas?

Go round building sites looking for electricians vans then ask them up front.

Its a hell of a big ask, aprenticeships aren't easy to come by, I would also suggest the direct aproach, also try Network Rail http://www.networkrail.co.uk/careers/ and the ECITB http://www.ecitb.org.uk/ also JTL http://www.jtlimited.co.uk/mainPage.htm and the CITB www.citb.org.uk.

Local papers, personal contacts, friends of friends try everything and make it clear you are a good bet i.e. experienced, hard working, interested and keen to learn. Employers have quite a few candidates to choose from so you will need to be persistant. Also apply for a college course to do the same thing full time so that you have something to fall back on
