Has anyone got one....and if so, HOW THE **** to you get it to work properly? So many options, but I can't seem to get it to work, without turning itself off when it pleases. The instructions don't help at all, I just want to press a button when I got to bed to make my room cold all night, then turn it off when I get up but that seems impossible. It is doing my head in....REALLY annoying!!

Please help me :(

I'd imagine it's doing what it's designed to do - switch off when it reaches a certain temperature using the inbuilt thermostat. Your only option is to set it to a temperature so low that it is unable to reach it and therefore will continue working to get to it.

If that still doesn't work, the internal thermostat is not working correctly.

Just to close this one off and in case anyone else has issues. The device was faulty though I am told by the engineer who came out this was his first ever call out to one. Having said that, he looked about 10 years old and frankly stared at it, had a read of the manual and could not diagnose a thing!

We had the device for 4 weeks before I reported the fault as I wanted to ensure it was not me getting it all wrong and once I had exhausted my research I spoke to John Lewis and they arranged an engineer to call. Had some pain when they decided to send out some parts and another engineer, but a quick call to them to make it clear it was money back or new device got me a new device. Then engineer even put on his report it had been faulty on delivery!

Seems something inside the machine was tripping out each time it transitioned from compressor on/off causing the unit to freeze and cut out. Anyhow new one arrived yesterday, faulty one was taken away and we now have a lovely cold room with an AC unit which does as you expect it to do.
