Ok i managed to get my self a faulty laptop to use in a htpc project. the screen is nackerd but as it will be used on a 42" plasma this isnt needed. The problem i have is that it didnt come with a charger and i dont really want to pay £30+ for one, i do have a few 19v chargers but the laptop requires a 15v source, what id like to know is what the best way to limit the voltage to get the required 15v from the charger. Would a series of resistors be ok or would i need to use something else?
