Electrostatic air propulsion and corona discharge effect - New method of CPU cooling

There have been several posts on here with examples of people building their own Ionic wind coolers. I am somewhat sceptic about these DIY jobs, but the technology itself does seem promising.
 
I remember not that long ago that people claimed that heatpipe technology in air cooling would never take off. Now there are countless heatpipe based coolers available. Moral of the story is not to be too pessimistic about upcoming technologies.
