elegible for T-Mobile upgrade?

My 18month T-Mobile contract ends in about 2 months I think, and I got a txt the other day saying I am eligible for an upgrade, what does this actually boil down too?

I don't plan on renewing the contract, but is there a way I can get a free upgrade phone now and then bin the contract in the next 2 months?

No. They will only let you upgrade if you renew your contract.
