It's just occurred to me that although I have preordered Elemental some time ago I actually don't know what type of Genre it fits in. I'm aiming for a Civ style experience in a fantasy setting - which i'm pretty sure is where it is at :)

It's going to have fairly incredible modability and this recent video from the Stardock CEO goes into it

Release is end of August

So far i'm still undecided - Stardock do their betas very different from a lot of other publishers. They aim very much for specific objectives that mean the beta isn't that fun. Will be very interesting to see how it develops!

I quite like the stardock beta's .As a smaller developer they seem to listen more to the community or at least that is my experience with beta testing on galciv2 and they had pretty regular beta builds with the comunity suggestions.

I need to check my old emails and see if i have any discount vouchers.lol

Been in the beta for a while. It's obviously very rough atm but that is normal for Stardock betas. They hold a lot back and just give us certain aspects to test. But when it all comes together the game is looking to have great potential though, I think it will be a real classic like GalCiv2 eventually, maybe even better. The modding potential is very exciting too.

Sweet! Hopefully we'll get it not so long after. I might be willing to pay that...

I do believe this game will take many days away from me... :O

Stardock's head honcho hinted recently we may get the gold release a few days early (those that pre ordered). That will be nice, although the day 0 patch should make it even better.

I really enjoyed the beta, even though it was tough going at times, with all the bugs/glitches but I'm pretty confident the final game will be great fun. Always wanted an up to date 4x game set in a fantasy/rpg world. These sort of games a quite rare, been ages since we've seen anything similiar. Master of Magic back in the early 90's I think. Besides the game, the modding tools alone are worth the price of admission for me, always been a sucker for modding.

This is a true old school geeky PC game, can't wait :D

Knowing how fast Sins was patched, I have faith that if there any any problems it will be fixed really quickly.

Don't know if I will preorder, but might get it a week after release.

Got my preorder in for the limited edition box, same as with Sins :)

Call me crazy but I'm a fan of Stardock/Impulse and I'm happy to support them in putting out quality releases! (I'm a huge fan of Gal Civ too)
