Trailer have been released for part two of ELEX.

I have the first one but have never downloaded it. Worth a play?

Yes it is worth playing as the others been saying. Just one word of warning, no hand holding and you be severely weak at the beginning, a monster looking at you sideways and your dead kind of weak !

Never heard of it before, looks like it could be good

If you not heard about ELEX before you might want to have a look at the first one and play it before ELEX II comes out since it wouldn't make much sense playing it otherwise. Can be had for less the £7 over at CDKeys if you interested, or wait for Christmas sale and might be cheaper.
