Elite 430 to Corsair 650D Upgrade...

So after my other thread looking for advice on a new case, went for the 650D and got it home yesterday morning. Didn't take too long to get the innards out of the old into the new... (rubbish pictures but saving the SLR shots for the cases gallery )

Yeah, those coloured cables are really going to bug me, looks like I'll have to braid after all!

Yeah, either get some MDPC braid, or pick up some BitFenix extensions for your cables!

It really does emphasise how the 650D is pushing the 'Midi' boundaries!

only bad point with the case, i thought the space behind the MB tray could have been a little wider, was tight getting all cables in there, and ive just noticed that the side window on mine has a defect in the plastic, so the top half isnt clear, , have emailed corsair about this, hope to get a replacement, apart from that the case is great

Yeah, either get some MDPC braid, or pick up some BitFenix extensions for your cables!

I was going to "cheat" and get pre-braided extensions, but I'd need to get both ends as you can see the cables going into the PSU. As poster above me says, there isn't a huge amount of space behind the mobo (much more than the 430 mind!) so I can't have huge bundles of cables in there so might as well go the MDPC route and do it properly.

Got to say, comparing my 650D to my friends old £40 he got 5 years ago (no cable management, HDD bays the 'wrong way', stock fans are SHOCKINGLY bad) and just how big this thing is for a mid-tower, cause my case is a good 5 inches taller and deeper. His is a tight squeeze with his new Fatal1ty motherboard when he had a mATX before....
