uksoldierboy, I realise you're not stupid and will have tried the obvious things but these things can be hard to pin down, especially if there are no error messages.
So, Is your PSU up to the task? (Wondering if that's why individual cards are fine. You've probably got the PSU listed in your sig, but I can't see that at the minute)
Are the power connectors individual or are they those ones that have 2 connectors on 1 cable? (Can't see why this would change when just using a single card, unless your setup is odd.)
Have you used something like OCCT, Kombustor or EVGA OC Scanner (not sure if that works with AMD cards) to see if they can pick up anything?
Were you running the same hardware under Win7/8 before your Win 10 upgrade? Did you get the same error then?
I just tried GTAV and it appears much better actually, maxed out at 1440P with 4xmsaa and all advanced maxed minus upscaling i get about 80-100fps in the city and 60-75fps in the desert.
I'd imagine that's about right looking at benchmarks online/youtube etc.
(Bf4)
Here's the errors i get when it crashes
Direct X- same thing happens on all drivers including 15.10 that i'm currently using.
Mantle - Crashes far less, maybe 1 in 4 games.
PSU is fine IMHO, using individual cables, as mentioned Witcher 3 is far more graphically taxing than BF4, yet hasn't crashed on me once.
Error happens with the whole system at stock too.
Not ran the GPU's on anything other than windows 10, i've tried each card on it's own and played for hours without issue, just seems CF is causing some problems.
In fact looking at it now, on the gaming front there aren't that many problems, GTAV seems solid after a little play, HD at least i know isn't my rig, just BF4 really that needs sorting.
I guess I'm just a little angry with AMD, like i imagine most people that spend serious cash on gpus i expect them to work, if there are issues, i expect clear comms as to what's happening with a fix and an eta.
The drivers for me have gone downhill, the comms from AMD are **** poor, the whole overclockers dream, stock issues, pump whine, it's just left a sour taste and i feel a little cheated i guess.
