My 360 Premium died on saturday... RROD :(

However... It was still under warranty from the high street store I bought it from in January so I paid an extra tenner and got this...

I am happy again now :)

I'd've thought you'd only get a refund for the current price of the console £249 - after all it has devalued over 10 months. Nice one, anyway!

Did you lose your saved games and whatnot or is there some way to transfer them over?
Are you asking because you're genuinely worried about his savegames, or are you thinking that £10 loss is worth it to make your 360 have a little "accident"? I imagine a few people are contemplating the latter. :p

I imagine the hard drive would still have been fine on the failed console. After that you can use a Microsoft cable to transfer data from one 360 to another.

I think that's how it works.

Judging by his gamer's score, he got the data switched over.

My original bill for the Premium in January was £289 with a couple of extras thrown in (VGA cable etc). The manager at the shop today said to just put in a £289 refund and the Elite was £299.

Lucky git :p

Payed £280 for mine, hopfully when i return mine I can get one too :p Highly doubt it though lol

Thats cool, How did you hook it up to your monitor and speakers, what connections did you use??? I am looking to do the same but dont want the bother of unconneting and reconnecting cables everytime i want to play 360.....

VGA cables to a KVM is the easiest way to swap between PC and Xbox360 on one monitor.
If you have something with 2 VGA ports such as the older Iiyama Pro 45x series or one with DVI-D and VGA then you can just swap without any need for a KVM.

Nice deal, a tenner is nothing, shame Microsfot can't do the console the same colour as the controller instead of a manky Grey...
