I currently use IMAP for my emails on my laptop, phone and Ipad and Google calendar for my diary however I am looking to switch to Outlook (currently use Thunderbird) but its doesnt seem to work with Google calendar and only allows read only access which isnt any good for me.

There is only me currently but I am interviewing for a member of staff so will be 2 of us in the near future. I dont have a server and have no plans to get one really unless the business grows substantially which realistically will be a couple of years off.

So what are my options, particularly on the calendar front? Ive had a quick look at hosted Exchange which seems to do everything I want for £2.60 per month per user but would be good to hear what other people recommend.

Thanks

Office 365 is cheap for small businesses, Exchange server and all that jazz. Outlook will love it. I used the free trial but didn't purchase it because I wanted email and purely email you can get for cheaper/free.

If you have an MSN account you can "log in" to your calendar separately using Live mail. I haven't tried it with Outlook but frankly Live mail is pretty nice anyway.

I use my Gmail for email on live mail and MSN account for my calendar, I dont' see why you couldn't have both PCs logging in with the same MSN account to "share" the calendar - it's worth testing if it allows two PCs logged into the same account at the same time as it's free.
