Email and SMS notification

Is anyone else experiencing this? Every time I get an email I get a text message of it as well. I've been trying for ages to get it to stop and cant work it out

Im using gmail on a desire

any ideas?

for anyone who has this problem it was orange and the push system.

I was told when I rang Orange that it was google to blame, but it appears the operator was wrong

to stop the email alerts from Orange text SUSPEND to 36245
