Having some problems sending email attachments at one of our customers.

They have a small network with a Server running Windows Server 2003 Standard edition.

One machine has a pop3 email account on it and refuses to send out any large attachments. I have tried using my own pop3 email account on the machine and that shows the same problem. I have also tried setting up the account on the server but that won't send large attachments either. Gets so far and then gives the error that the operation timed out.

I have spoken to the provider but obviously as I have tried my own email account this rules this out (using my own emails providers SMTP). They use a Netgear 834G router which I have used at many other places and never had a problem anything like this.

Anyone got any ideas? Its getting very frustrating!

Thanks

It seems to vary on whether it will send or not but in general the larger the attachment (bigger than say 1.5mb) the less likely it will send.

I am heading down in a sec to try a different router.
