email client suggestions

Hi all,

Running a few websites for people now and it's all webmail.

I've just set up forwarders to my gmail account to let me know when something has come in but think it may be best to run them via a dedicated email client on my laptop/pc

So, any suggestions on what to use for multiple accounts at the same time?

thunderbird or outlook for desktop programs.

I don't really use gmail but I'm 99% sure you can access the webiste pop/imap accounts via it, same with hotmail/outlook iirc

I liked the idea of Mailbird, until I realised it has ads in it. No way to purchase outright, just a subscription payment.

I'm happy with Thunderbird, but I would like to try a more modern browser but prefer to stick to open source.
