I received an email but rather than showing me the data files, I can only see the data as UTF-8 code. Is there a way I can save the data as, say, a text file and then convert from UTF-8 to its intended format?

Thanks

What email program are you using?

Most have the option when right clicking on the attachment to download/save as

I use thunderbird which gives the option on the bottom of the email

That's the thing, it's not recognising them as attachments, just giving this:

--_000_3EF0C08D3EBAE44D8F7373761431597439CAB49F7ACCDC1XCH113fi_
Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

I can only assume that the sender's program failed to label them correctly which means they stay as a UTF stream which I'm trying to convert into something useable.

Not sure tbh, Tried sending to ya phone? You still haven't stated what email client you are using though.

Have you made sure that the email program is set to "unicode character encoding" ?

I tried looking at it with a variety of different programs and even with gmail, I don't think it's a viewer issue. From what I can tell, when the email was sent, the sender's mail client failed to accurately label the attachments as such and so the data is not being registered as an attachment, just being printed as text.
