Hello,

This email is from the team who designed and made the BBC Climate Change Experiment.

Congratulations on completing a climate forecast all the way up to the year 2080. We'd like to say a huge thank you for the time and effort you've given to the project. Thanks to you and thousands like you, this is the largest climate change experiment that's ever been performed. It gives the scientists at Oxford University an unprecedented level of understanding of future climate change.

So what's next?

The results TV programme is coming to BBC One in the New Year, presented by David Attenborough and Kate Humble and Matt Allwright.

Full details of results will also be on the usual BBC climate change website.

Going to try and rescue my 2nd (crashed) unit. If not, I'm done, but it's still nice to be appreciated.

Well done sir, great donation. A worthy cause certainly. For some reason though I cringe thinking about the tv show on this. Reminds me of tomorrow's world. Computery stuff, but nice and watered down for the British public :/

So what happened with the (crashed) wu?

I'm on 61% and 63%....missed out on about 8 weeks' worth of crunching due to holiday and uni madness

I need to see if I have a backup copy at work. If not, it's gone. If so, I'll restore the backup and try again. Crash twice, and it's history.

Eugh nothing worse, except perhaps the above combined with producers/presenters who keep making embarrassing mistakes and try to look cool. BBC speciality that. Makes me want to curl up and die.

I remember when they did a short on seti classic. At the time I knew nout about it, so the looked like they knew what they were talking about. But looking back, they didn't have a clue what they were going on about lol

WU recovered from backup. I think I know what killed it. Disabled that. Now we'll see what happens next.
