for the last few years i have been using my own domain name and hosting to recieve emails, but the last couple of weeks i have been getting spam, and it seems to be from the same person, pretending to be a bank telling me i have to log on to a website to confirm my banking details (obviously fake, since emails are sent from correct bank website (spoofed email) but are directing me to get to a fake website to enter details) anyway, this is realy annoying as the only way for me to stop spam is to go into my hostings cpanel and add a new entry to stop that email, but if a spam email comes with a different subject or source i have to do it all over again.

so is there any place i can check where the spammer found my email address, as i was spam free for ~4 years. and is there any better way i can stop spam b4 it arrives at my inbox? since unlike things like googlemail, i use outlook express, so no built in spam filter.

does your host have any sort of spam filtering at the relay end? I'd recommend a combination of spamassassin and procmail to filter this guff out at the mail server end, but it depends on what you have at your disposal and whether your mailhosts are running UNIX or Exch*nge for mail
