Email Marketing, spam checker

Lucky me, I get to make HTML emails, but there's no point sending them if they're going to be all spammy, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a source that allows you to check the content of your email to see if it's likely to be marked as spam. obviously, everyone will have their filters set up differently, but a broad view would be quite nice.

the ones I've found seem to vary wildly in their opinion of what's spam and what's not, so I'm open to suggestion really.

I'm in a similar job boat, so I feel your pain.

In our company's case, if I remember correctly, there are tools within the e-mail delivery system - both E-mail Reaction [EMR] and Communicator have such spam-checking facilities. Are your e-mails delivered with such a system?

sadly not - it's all based around the php mail function and coated in a campaign management system, so I don't think there's any scope for any clever stuff like that. I've seen that there's plenty of web based apps that can do this, but they all look like they were made in '95 and give varying results!

I wouldn't mind so much, but I hate html emails - text is the way forward!!
