Hi guys

I work for a local charity with a fairly large donor base, and we're currently trying to develop a new CMS website for our fundraising purposes. To coincide with that, I really want to propose we tap into the "e-fundraising" via emails. We have a database of email addresses as well which we have consent for fundraising updates.

The only problem is, we don't know how to do e-marketing - whether it'd involve a software or an online service.

Does anyone here have any experience with this?

What I've done in the past for a couple of local fundraising events, was to do an MS Word mailing, which was both time consuming and naturally of poor html quality. I just wondered if anyone has any recommendations so that I could push forward to my manager to look into.

Appreciate any help in advance :)

Look into a decent Intranet/CMS solution with a built-in CRM, most of those can handle simple email campaigns, if the charity is registered you may get a lower charity rate for the system too.

Thanks for the input :)

Unfortunately since the CMS has already been contracted with a company, and I didn't get as much input as I'd like about what the Fundraising section of the website can have. If I get a chance I'd definitely ask them, but we're already struggling to come to an agreement on the price for just the fundraising section of the site!!

Do you know if there're alternatives that we could adopt if we can't get it integrated to the website?
