Email problems with iPhone 5

Everything has been working fine since I got the phone on release day, then a few days ago all of my emails would come in very late, refreshing the inbox would take ages and nothing will send from the phone.

This is with all accounts, two Gmail accounts and an account with work through Exchange.

I removed and added all the accounts again and even assigned new application specific passwords to the Gmail accounts. No joy. Nothing will send. Emails will come in on the Gmail accounts but I can't receive anything on the Exchange company account.

I've tried WiFi, 3G, restarting the phone and removing/adding the accounts.

Any ideas?

I've had the same issue on my 4S and the only thing I could put it down to was that I added my gmail account to my phone, after doing full restores, deleting and adding the mail accounts I took the gmail account off and it's back to normal.

Can't be sure that is the reason but it worked for me...
