Does anyone here run a email server? What anti-spam software/tool do you use? I am using mdaemon as my email server software. THanks in advance guys

but that is only for linux/unix servers isn't it, I am running windows 2000 server???

Good thing with Messagelabs is that you don't have to worry about it, you don't update it, it just works, and they do web traffic as well

We use a Sophos gateway box for AV, SPAM and content filtering we then back that up with antigen (Got some flash new MS name now) on the Exchange server. the gateways get rid of virtually everything but the second level is nice to have for picking up anything that slips though. Multi vendour is also a bonus as it means you get the benefit of both systems approaches.

Sophos Puremessage is a good all-in-one, it's multiplatform too and very configurable. Deployed and administered it on Solaris, but if the W2K version is half as good then it'll rock.

Mailscanner is pretty decent.

You could always run it as a Linux VM on Windows 2000
