Hi all

I'm interested in making my own mail server?

I want the functionality of a global address list, which can be accessed on any of the 3 PC's in my home.

I want a global mailing list which will store all my contacts, not having to store them on each client PC.

Is there a free way in which to do this?

I like the MS servers - is it possible to obtain hosting for this remotely? I dont want to have any of my PC's hosting it?

You can buy in exchange server hosting which will do exactly what you want - in fact, one of my collegues is using a free exchange service for his personal account - i think it's limited in one or two ways though.

Otherwise, scalix mailserver will do exactly what you want, probably have to host it youself though.
