Arghhh, I keep getting spammed! :(

It's all pornogrophy related spam, and I don't look at such sites.

I haven't had my main PC for months now, and only seems to have happened since getting my new work laptop last week and setting up Thunderbird to access my personal emails from my web hosting email account.

I only have my email in my trust here, and thats the only place I'm aware it is listed.

I haven't posted it in any text form.

I have however, sent a lot of emails from my account to about 5 different people for trading off the members market here. Also sent emails to a few companys (mainly watercooling manufacturers). Any chance that they have virus' installed on their PC's?

I haven't read any of the emails, except the ones which are not pornogrophy related via the subject - some are emails asking me to sign up to random forums, none of the emails have any attachments with virus'.

How can I stop this? As two days now, and recieving 15+ a day of training Thunderbird - it still doesn't filter them. I'ld rather not have them being sent to me at all, especially on my work laptop.

Any ideas to find the source or anything?

Nope, but I have now.

Is it accurate? As it gave me the option to delete emails without delivering them, but didn't know it it would create false positives and delete ones which were not spam.

Thanks Beansprout.

It's alright and shouldn't cause many false positives. What I do is filter my spam to a separate folder which I check every now and then :)

(That's the 'spambox' feature (sortof), if your host has that enabled :))

Alternatively you can set Spamassassin's options so that it tags subject lines with something (make it obscure, ie not something you'd see in a real header, like **SPAM**), and then setup your mail client to move all matching items to a folder - handy with Outlook, etc :)
