Hi all,

recently i trialled some email stationery software, Exclaimer Mail Utilities to be specific.
I maintain a domain server environment, so this software would take the user info from AD and populate the relevent fields for whoever is sending the email. Thus only one template need be created. I'm sure a few on here are familiar with it.
However, we never bought the software because after spending numerous hours on gotoassist with their tech support it seems that once the email has been sent, MS Outlook applies its own html coding to the mail and slightly alters the look/feel of it, especially on replies to the same email, by adding borders, or changing the colour of a hyperlink etc.
They could only advise that to avoid this we effectively turn off html in Outlook which means we'd lose spellcheck etc when creating emails. Something we really shouldn't do without.

So, we're still using a word file as our email stationery and every time the boss wants to change it i have 40 files (one for each user) to update. So you can see my boggle here.
I've just recently added another logo to our stationery and all looks good when i send the mail.
However, when i check it in sent items or even when it comes back as a reply the MS html coding has put a fine border around the logo with a thicker border at the bottom. God knows why. So in effect its doing to our stationery what it did to the Mail utilities stationery.

Can anyone advise a way to eliminate such nasties happening to our email stationery please? It looks less than professional.

Will post up pics of before and after email sent if anyone thinks it would help. Or even the before and after code if needed.

Thanks for reading this slightly long post. :p
