email video file help

hi

ive got a family video that i would like to send via email threw windows 7 mail program ,its about 32mb in size but takes an age to send and i keep getting an error sending it , proberly because its such a big file even though we have pretty fast broadband?

is there a program i should be using to downsize the file?

An easier solution might be using a free online file hosting site, you upload the file and send your family or whoever the link to the download, it is only hosted temporarily so you dont need to worry about your video living on the net

ive decided to stick it on youtube as private link only but what file should i upload as? im trying avi and it says about 8mins left to upload?

Use Rapidshare or Megaupload mate. This is the easiest way and you just email the link then

ive just put it on youtube but as private listing as i already had a youtube account ,i think i can just send them a link to it as well?

Yeah you can send them the YouTube URL of course. I always use Rapidshare myself but there are loads of alternatives too. Uploading it to one of these sites means the recipient can then download the video onto their computer at the other end instead of just viewing it.
