just click the 'Add email account' link on the left pane

might change to something else as since i upgraded to the beta version of the new WLM and then i went back... i have to try open it 5 and click no to when it says configuring etc as it doesn't load after that.. dno why

you can use Hotmail accounts with Outlook using the Hotmail Connector thing.

Simple solution: Keep Outlook open.
