I need to create a distribution group in exchange 2007 for 5 external contacts email addresses. I've created the 5 individual contacts, and created the distribution group (we'll call it 'abc'). Assume my domain is called contoso.com.
When a user sends to the abc distribution group, it sends to the email address '[email protected]' and the email is also sent to the 5 users contained within the abc distribution group.
My first issue is that, when those users receive the email, it shows that the email was addressed to [email protected], is there anyway to remove this as they now think it's a monitored mailbox, whereas it isn't!?
Another issue is that when the user replies to this email, the reply is sent to the [email protected] email address which is also received by the original sender. This whole process doesn't seem very streamlined to me, and i'm assuming i'm going about this process in the wrong way, can anyone offer advice?
