emails being sent in HTML code?

Hi, it seems like whenever I send an email it turns into HTML code, but it doesn't happen when I reply to an email.

here's a recent email I sent:

What are you sending the emails with, Outlook, OE, Thunderbird, Webmail?

I know Outlook has an option as to how you want your emails to be formatted (HTML/Plain/Rich text), and with replys, it keeps the same format as original.
Thunderbird may have the same.

If it is webmail, then it could be the webmail interface has options.

Edit: Hang on I may have misunderstood slightly, are you saying rather than the recipient just getting your email, the email text has a load of HTML code either side of it?

Hi, i'm sending the emails by the default bt yahoo email browser, i'll check and see if it has the options you speak of.

I'll try and explain it better, when I send an email it saves a copy into my 'sent' folder. When I check over the email that has been send it is all in HTML code like the one above, but I edited out the message that I was sending. I just type up the text and after I send it it goes all wonky like this.

so for exaple I was sending the message:

Hello people of OCUK

Thanks,
Nick

it would probably turn out as:
