Embarassing 3DMark 06 score

you need to think that you will be getting reasonable performance on your current setup games wise
wait until novemebr if you can see what comes out then make a decision
any of the 48xx or 8800gt and above would make a massive difference to you

SM 2.0 Score 1912
SM 3.0 Score 1887

Well have a good laugh at me then mate because until a few months ago my score was 3124 :D http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7171929

After buying a new PC It's now a half decent 13505 -which personally I still think is a bit low considering what I forked out for  http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7821053

my 3dmark score is 14390.
not sure if that is good or bad really. but judging by other peoples score mine should be way higher.

I got similar scores to you and I thought mine was low too..... I found a setting in bios for PIC-e compliancy mode which was set to V1.0a, I changed it to V1.0 and my score shot up to 16900.......

I've got a IP35-e, so it may be worth digging around in your bios for something similar, it was well buried in sub menus.
