Well I have found it. Got the blue screen and the "won't boot" attitude from the machine. Increasing voltages didn't help. So we settled on a 3.1 That's a 55% increase on what I had before. It has made a huge improvement to my flight simulator. When I switch windows in flight sim I don't have to wait for the ground textures to load. They are just there!!
Why oh why did I not try this when I bought the chip 9 months ago.
So for the record 3.1Ghz on just two cheap fans. Nice.
