Embed video in Powerpoint 2003

Can this be done so the video is in the presentation not in a separate file and linked to. I want to be able to email the file without having to get the recipient to make folders and repair the link.

Thanks for any advice.
 
You can certainly embed and play a video as part of a Powerpoint, and with 2010 you can send the presentation as an email or save it and it will embed your animation, not sure about 2003 I think you might need the 'pack and go' option, it's been a while since I used it.

Probably best to use a native windows codec (windows media file) otherwise you may find your recipient will not be able to play it. Quicktime and H.264 etc require quicktime installed.

However, video files are pretty big, you might want to consider sending via a file transfer service like yousendit, as big emails can be troublesome.
