Embedding fonts?

Anyone know an alternative method of embedding fonts in a website other than "SIFR" so I can call them through a standard header class?

This has to work on all browsers, so can't be IE only upload version.

As far as I know there is no way to embed fonts cross browser.

No I didn't think there was. I have used SIFR in the past but I was wondering if there was any javascript or hacks out there to allow me to-do it a bit quicker.

i've used a php version before that works cross browser, not sure of the details though i'll find out for ya

here you go, we have used this in the past... works but i have two quibbles...

looks great but only on relatively single colour backgrounds as it has a jagged gif style edge...

secondly, its a tad slow... other than that pretty good bit of code
