Emergency 2013 - Anyone got it

Been big fan of Emergency games, but with 2012 had issue of it crashing on start up, could never get it working so gave up.

I bought EM2013 last week thinking they would have fixed it, and nope......

"EM2013.EXE has stopped working" everytime i boot up. I got it off Steam so no refund and no game to play :mad:

Does anyone have a fix for this issue.
 
I thought if you kept contacting Steam with screenshots of the problem and asking for a refund they will, on occasion refund you?

Surely they can see how much game time it has had as steam tracks it all, and if you don't ask you don't get.

I think I've a copy of the game somewhere, not installed it to try though.
 
Steam and no refunds is why I only use it for dirt cheap games. How they get away with it I have no idea! It shows game time so you should legally have 24 hours to obtain a refund after it is installed in my opinion. They can see if you have tried it and for how long.
 
I think it would be fair if they gave you refunds for games you have never played within a certain time of purchase, like how some companies only return unopened products.
 
Found how to fix this issue. Have to do two things...

Part 1
Program files>steam>steamapps>common>emergency2013>redist>INSTALL PhysX_9.10.0513_SystemSoftware MANUALLY

Part 2
Program files>steam>steamapps>common>emergency2013>bin.x86> then run EM2013 under troubleshoot compatibility mode should be Windows XP(service pack 2)

That is only way to boot the game up, pain i nbutt but least it's a fix.
