Ok, I've done the stupidest thing and screwed a screw too far into the radiator and it has dented a small hole and it is leaking.

Whats the best way to fix it?

I was thinking of using silicon, or soldering.

Anyone repaired this before?

Its on the top of the thin tubes that go across the radiator. The screw dented it abit and caused a small leak.

Where can I get JB Weld from? I kinda need to get it fixed 2nite.

any other alternatives?

You can try soldering, but there will be metal deposits stopping it from bonding.

Resin still takes a while to go off. As does anything but the fastest dry epoxy (Try asda btw!)

Soldering would be best but i wasnt sure you had the equipment or know how to do it. Araldite needs 90mins to cure, there is a 5 minute "rapid" version also.

Ok, just soldered it, and tested about 15 minutes under tap and no leak. Also filled with water, covered 1 barb and blew down the other and didn't leak. Still don't know how well to trust it.

Could I JB Weld over the top of it? Going to carry on with the build anyway.

Had this happen with a Thermochill, don't understand why they ship with such long screws my current XSPC has nice short ones that's can't possibly do any damage.

Chemical metal would have been your best bet and only a fiver a pack

Used some to repaid a burst metal water pipe on the vectra and it's still going strong 10 thousand miles later

If you happen to be anywhere near Glasgow and want to fix tonight I've got some sitting in the boot of the car you can have

Solder can block the tubes if excesively done. Epoxy, JB weld is easyer, can let it gel/thicken up then pasted it on less chance of it running into the tube.

Local news agent, co-op, tesco, petrol station will have it and most places are open till 10pm if not 24/7.
